Identifiers / Alternate Names: This category includes pyrex items that were customized for companies, produced for advertising purposes, or made for special events such as one time employee gatherings. While there might not be much distinction between this category and the "Promotional / Unknown" category, we felt that because of the large number of advertising items (mugs in particular) that they should be placed in their own category to avoid cluttering the already crowded promotional category. In most cases, these items are not sets but single items.

Another commemorative type of mug in the 1410 Diagonal Handle style, this is the America’s Bicentennial Mug that features that wording in red plus the Liberty Bell in blue on the front side of the mug. The other side of the mug features the American flag along with the 1776 and 1976 dates in circles of blue stars.

The mugs that we have are marked “No. 1410 Pyrex Microwave USA”. We’re not sure if they were sold separately or in sets - we tend to think the latter because they often show up on Ebay in multiples. They are not particularly rare, but seem to show up mostly on the East Coast - which again means that west coasters will find themselves bidding on Ebay for them.

Interestingly, we have seen a few error examples where the mugs were printed without the red color… not sure how they were let out of the factory but this seems to happen once in awhile with promotional items. These occasional errors sure makes collecting Pyrex mugs more fun!
