Pattern: Butterfly Gold
Identifiers / Alternate Names: Various butterflies and five petaled flowers. Most commonly a yellow-brown pattern on white, though the reverse of white on yellow-brown also exists. Two distinct pattern variations exist for various items - one has just the butterflies and flowers while the other has those items embedded on "wheat stalks", much like the Autumn Harvest pattern. Some lids feature a ring of butterfly gold with a single flower in the center, and the smallest size refrigerator box contains a single flower. Some other items (mugs and some casseroles) may not have butterflies in the pattern and only flowers. Also known as: Golden Butterflies, Five Petal Flowers

We have actually seen many of these Butterfly Gold Oven Refrigerator Freezer Sets still in their original light orange-brown boxes, so I wouldn’t pay through the nose for them. This was an 8 piece set, with 4 boxes and 4 lids and were billed as “Pyrex Compatibles” which were meant to go with matching Corelle living ware plates, bowls and cups.
There are two 1 cup refrigerator boxes that are white witha single flower from the Butterfly Gold pattern on the side. These have #501 on the bottom. Then the 1.5 pint #502 refrigerator box is that tan-orange in color with the pattern along the side in white. The largest #503 size is 1.5 quart and has the same tan-orange color with the pattern in white.
The lids for these refrigerator sets are the newer ones, with the lines running all across the clear face of the lid. As usual, you will find many of the lids are chipped due to normal use, but the boxes are usually in good condition.
