The Colonial Mist pattern features white on deep blue navy and the reverse as well, and is sometimes called “French Daisy” or “Floral Daisy”. The daisies on stems stretch in a ring around much of the bowls. Besides coming in the often seen white/navy and navy/white color schemes, there are also 4 bowl sets that were white on Clear glass. We actually have a newer bowl (with Liter capacities on bottom) that is of this color scheme. You can tell they are newer from the metric markings (ours says 4 Liter) as well as the bottom of the bowl which has concentric circular grooves.
Interestingly, with this set I think it may have come in the usual three bowl only 300 series as well as the four bowl 400 series which includes the 4 quart. BUT it seems like the color didn’t alternate exactly as usual for the 404 bowl. That is, the #401 1 1/2 pint and #403 2 1/2 quart is white on navy blue, but the #402 1 1/2 quart is navy on white while the largest #404 4 quart is ALSO white on navy. So you’ve got three bowls that are navy blue and only the #402 size being white. Not 100% if this was always the case though. I think the Cinderella bowls do alternate “correctly” though.
Here’s a photo which was sent in by Stephanie that shows the color schemes that I’m talking about. This is a set of 300 series Colonial Mist with the added 4 quart 404 bowl in navy blue.
