From far away they look like solid colors with a bit of texture to the finish. Also known as: Speckle, Flecks, Desert.

Loaf pans were made in the Desert Dawn pattern in two colors: yellow and pink. You’ll recall these are brownish (or pinkish) speckles in the otherwise solid color items in the Desert Dawn series. The loaf pans that we know have rounded corners as opposed to the diagonally cut corners of later pans. They also have the #213 stamp; later loaf pans sometimes have a #913 stamp. They measure approximately 9 by 5 inches and hold 1.5 quarts. This is called “Deep Baking Dish” in the ads.

I once saw a yellow Desert Dawn loaf pan at an estate sale for a few dollars, but ended up not getting it - because I was carrying to many other glass items at the time. Now I’m regretting not getting it a bit. =)
