This bowl set (also in blue themed) is a bit more difficult to find and that a lot of it has to do with it’s name - Americana. That is because the “Early American” pattern (farm life scenes) is often mistakenly labeled as “Americana”. The “Federal Eagle” pattern is also sometimes called “Americana”. Still, it’s a very nice looking nesting bowl set. We think this should be called something like “White Rim Solid Color” because of the confusion with the other patterns.

Pyrex Love - Americana Fall Colors, Brown Set

This “fall colored” Americana mixing bowl set has the full 400 series 4 bowls: The 401 1 1/2 pint is a gold-yellow in color, the 402 1 1/2 quart is an olive brown and the 403 2 1/2 quart is an orange rust-brown in color. The 404 4 quart looks like a milk chocolate brown. Earlier, we had thought that the difference in the 403 and 404 bowls was more pronounced and that they were darker in color. In fact, the colors are very similar and more milk-chocolate in tone - in our particular set the 403 bowl actually looks exactly like the 404 chocolate brown bowl except that the color seems to be almost streaked or mottled with a faint orange. We’re not sure if this is just our set, or if it is like this on all sets.

If you’re actually looking for the Americana set be prepared to do a bit of searching on Ebay, because very few sellers will actually call it by its proper name. You can try use “white rim” in the search which sometimes helps.
