Similar to the Autumn Harvest, this bowl set seems to be fairly common because it was introduced later in the 80s. The Forest Fancies pattern features beige colored bowls along with brown colored mushroom patch motifs. The pattern does not wind around the entire side of the bowl.
Update 11/07: This was listed as a 1983 release from information on the Pyrex Files, but we’ve since found it to be a 1981 release according to an official product brochure that Mackem 54 had scanned in.
This is another one of those 3 bowl sets with 400 numbers. They included the #401 1 1/2 pint, #402 1 1/2 quart and #403 2 1/2 quart. Update 1/08: According to John Davis there does exist a #404 4 quart bowl although it was probably sold separately and is a little more difficult to come across. We actually should have known better because the scan noted above does show the bowl. However, we originally wrote up this entry 2 years ago - we often come across more accurate info from collectors years after the entry is originally written up.
We are unsure if these mixing bowls were also sold as a set of 4 including the 4 quart or not - but there was another collector who said their mom received the entire set of 4 as a wedding gift. So it is more than likely they were sold both ways. The Forest Fancies pattern also appeared on Cinderella type items including the bowls and baking sets with lids.
