Pyrex Love - Garden Medley Casserole

This casserole is a rather uncommon promotional item that we have only seen a few times. It is listed on the Pyrex Files site as an unknown named “Garden”, but we thought that was a little too vague so we’ve renamed it to “Garden Medley”. The pattern features three or four different types of flowers (two look like roses and tulips) so we thought that was a good name for it. The flower pattern is white on what a sort of burnt orange color.

Thank you to Jenny (FrankCheez) for letting us feature the above picture of the casserole. We are unsure if this originally came with a cradle as well, but we are fairly certain it had a standard clear cover. If anyone else has information on what year this piece was produced or perhaps an original box, we’d love to hear from you.

Update 12/07: Thank you to Mackem54 who posted pictures of an original ad with this casserole. It came with a clear lid and was offered as a “gift promotion” in the first half of 1981. They did not come with a cradle, but did come with a multicolor quilted “cozy” (with orange, green, red, blue colors) that was meant to wrap around the casserole. These were called “Bake ‘N Carry” casseroles in the literature, but since they existed in more than one pattern we’ll continue to call this Garden Medley as well.
