Pyrex Love - Decorator Meadow Casserole

This is a 1960 Promotional that was released as a “Decorator” casserole, but it’s been confirmed that the name was Meadow. Once again, remember that to reduce confusion we are going to be giving names (if they don’t already exist) to the Decorator casseroles.

It features a quite lovely, stylized array of turquoise blue meadow flowers (two different types: 3 leaves and 5 leaves) on vines, as well as what looks like grass or wheat stems. One of the plant stalks actually looks quite a bit like the wheat stalks from the Autumn Harvest pattern, which led us to originally label this one as “Blue Harvest”. Other people have called it “Blue Meadow”. The casserole itself is opal white. This one matches nicely with Butterprint items and the Bluebird Promo Casserole (in fact, to find this casserole on Ebay, you need to pay a close eye to the pictures since sometimes you won’t recognize the pattern because the pics are so small… you might think it’s one of the other ones).

Pyrex Love - Decorator Meadow Casserole

We had originally thought there was only one smaller 1.5 quart size of the casserole, but have seen reports of both 1.5 and 2.5 quart with the same design - probably similar to what occurs with the New Holland promos (except on those the design is different on the two sizes). The numbers are #043 1.5 quart and #045 2.5 quart and both had standard clear lids. I think both of them came with a standard brass cradle, but the white plastic handles did not look to be the standard tubes but were some sort of rectangular handles.

We have not seen boxed versions of this Meadow casserole yet, but we have seen advertisements that show it along with several other promotional items.
