Identifiers / Alternate Names: This category includes pyrex items that were customized for companies, produced for advertising purposes, or made for special events such as one time employee gatherings. While there might not be much distinction between this category and the "Promotional / Unknown" category, we felt that because of the large number of advertising items (mugs in particular) that they should be placed in their own category to avoid cluttering the already crowded promotional category. In most cases, these items are not sets but single items.

As far as we know, this mug was produced in limited quantities and wasn’t made available to the general public in stores. It may or may not have been an “employees only” type of mug. It features slate blue colored decals of 4 different pieces of labware with the word “PYREX” on one side and the word “CORNING” on the other side.

Some interesting things about it: First, it is actually NOT marked as Pyrex on the bottom of the mug. In fact, it is marked Corning, along with a batch number (ours says “20″). We still are not sure how to tell for certain when an unmarked Corning mug that seems like Pyrex is indeed Pyrex. But since the mug actually says “Pyrex” on the side, we are going to include it here anyhow whether or not it turns out to actually be made of Pyrex.

The second thing is that it is not marked with a size or with an ID number, as is the case with the Butterfly Gold 1410 Diagonal Handle Mugs. However, it looks nearly identical to the 1410 mug series so we are going to say that the size is the same too - 300 ml (about 10 oz.) When looking at one of the Butterfly Gold mugs, its interesting that the glass actually appears to be a bit thicker as well.
