This “Royal Wheat” casserole features a striking pattern of yellow gold wheat sheafs - there is just the single long sheaf of wheat on both sides, instead of repeated graphics. The sheaf of wheat has 4 dots separating the stalks in the center of the graphic. This is pictured as item #352 in Rogove and Steinhauer’s Pyrex by Corning: A Collectors Guide. That books lists 1961 as the release date, but have seen this listed as a 1960 promotional divided dish on other sites.
As usual, this is a model #963 opal white divided dish although the only marking on the bottom of the dish is 1 1/2 quarts. We think this may have come with a standard clear divided lid as well.
I don’t believe it came with a cradle. Update 6/07: Thank you to lolocat, who found a Royal Wheat casserole in box WITH the cradle server. Actually, it even says “with cradle” on the box. Hers did not come with a lid, but we are not yet sure if that was the case for all of them.
Note that there are several other promotional items including a blue Hospitality casserole with golden wheat stalks and a round bottomed casserole with blue wheat stalks on it that feature wheat stalks as well, which definitely causes some confusion.
