Snack Server Minus Handle
Over this past summer, we did come across a few Pyrex standard and promotional items in our thrift store and flea market travels. However, we’ve definitely noticed that the already shrinking bounty of Pyrex goodies around has dried up to nearly a trickle. We think the economy has something to do with that - people buying up Pyrex to sell most likely. When major thrift stores DO have Pyrex nowadays, the prices are almost always too much to justify picking up (I’m talking to you, Goodwill).
This Snack Server promotional divided dish was an exception. I think it was because some people might think the plain black on white design was boring. The pattern is actually quite nice, and sometimes is referred to as “Compass Signs”. Unfortunately, ours didn’t come with the unusual carrying handle that slips over the two ends of the dish and allows you to carry it from the top.

I think it’s beautiful, not plain! I have been hunting for vintage tea towels laterly, and in op shops in North Queensland (they have HUGE warehouses for their op shops - about 15 for one small city!) they told me that people were poor and that was why I couldn’t find any tea towels. Not too sure whether that’s the whole story, and tea towels are very cheap in the supermarkets anyway!

Love the simplicity of this pattern. Does it come in any other colors? What’s your favorite pyrex pattern of them all?
Good to see you “back”!

I just wanted to say that I love your site !! I use the pattern reference when I find a new pyrex piece and want to post it in my online shop!
I have to agree with you, Pyrex has gone up a lot! I personally use only glass containers in my kitchen so I have quite a few Pyrex in all shapes and sizes. I have noticed lately that the pieces that are in the thrifts * yes Goodwill and St Vincent I am also looking your way* have almost doubled in price. They are not even taking in to account the condition of the pattern either.
Anywho- I should have commented on your site more than two years ago- better late than never!!! Keep it coming, I love seeing what you guys find

I have noticed recently that Goodwill & even Value Village have caught on and are making displays with only vintage glassware, mainly pyrex and fireking. I found a bunch of light pink pyrex recently but at $10 a piece or more I couldn’t afford to get them
