Pyrex Black Snowflake Casseroles
Okay, so these aren’t *that* elusive or super-rare, but not too many people have heard of or seen “black Pyrex” and we are thrilled to add these to our collection. This pattern is commonly known on eBay as Black Snowflake, but our trusty reference guides classify these as White on “Charcoal.” The fired-on charcoal/black color is really interesting - more of a matte coating rather than the shiny color we’re so used to seeing in colored Pyrex, definitely something we’ve never seen before. And this set still had its original aluminum lids in great condition!

    They look wonderful!

Just this weekend, I found a beautiful 1.5qt oval White Snowflake on Turquoise casserole with lid. So gorgeous, not a mark on it. Obviously it had never been used, the inside was smooth as a mirror. And only $7.00!!

I had no idea about the aluminum lids. Have you seen any in other shapes and sizes? Is there something printed/stamped on the lid?

So far, I think we’ve mainly seen aluminum lids only for these space saver type casseroles. They have “Pyrex Brand 550MC Made In U.S.A.” stamped on the lid. We think MC stands for Metal Cover…

We've been having a lot of bots trying to leave comments lately. So we're adding a math thingy to the comment form. Please spell out the answer, don't use numerals. It should be easy to solve :) Regardless, you won't see your comment right away, because we are also moderating each one. It will most likely show up in a few hours to a few days.

What is three plus four (answer in words)?
