To our knowledge, this is one of the few (if not the only) Pyrex Chip and Dip set that uses square bowls. All of the others we’ve seen utilize the Cinderella 440 series bowls (the smallest 441 is the dip bowl, the largest 444 is the chip bowl) or the standard 400 series mixing bowls (401, 444).
The set features a really nice solid turquoise color set of square bowls. The “Chip” bowl is a 2 1/2 quart numbered #025… I believe this is similar to the standard large square salad serving or hostess bowls that came in red and yellow. The “Dip” bowl is numbered #410 and looks like the standard 12 oz small bowl that is also a part of the hostess set. This makes me think that they were released around the same time.
I like how the gold-brass colored caddy connector bracket makes the smaller square dip bowl appear at an angle to the larger one.
